Description:
Limestone Storage's 42.2 kW PV system will produce 60% of the electricity used at the facility.
The carbon production avoided by this renewable energy resource is 65.7 tons each year, which is like planting 92 new trees every year, and is equivalent to emissions from driving 143,773 miles in the average passenger car annually.
By not using 51,883 kWh of fossil fuel generated electricity, this Solar Power System also prevents the release of these pollutants each year:
Carbon Dioxide – 131,396 lbs/year
Sulfur Dioxide – 1,009 lbs/year
Nitrogen Oxides – 2,739 lbs/year
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) - 113 lbs/year
Mercury - 0.000192 lbs/year
